In high school I was told that embryos had hearts the size of poppy seeds, which meant that they had souls and that you shouldn’t abort them. It didn’t make me any less likely to want to get an abortion, but whenever I eat a poppy seed muffin, I automatically imagine that I’m eating hundreds of embryo hearts.
